Chanel’s Fine Jewelry hosted a dinner party in celebration of the research institution’s upcoming 2017 permanent treasures exhibition. Fashion Icon Rachel Zoe quoted Coco Chanel at the dinner party located at the Public Library, “Once you’ve dressed and before you leave the house, look into the mirror and take at least one thing off.”
Guests included several iconic style stars from Rose Byrne (who happened to co-host the event) to Dakota Fanning to Amanda Peet to Girls cast members Allison Williams and Jemima Kirke to Amandla Stenberg and many more.
From Allison Williams to Amanda Peet to Dakota Fanning all of New York City’s It- Girls attended Chanel’s fine jewelry soiree wearing none other than Chanel!
According to WWD, Allison Williams stated, “I’m totally nerding out tonight,” She was hovering over a glass vitrine toward the back of the New York Public Library’s marble lobby, marveling at its contents. “This is the Gutenberg Bible; it’s the first issue to come to the U.S., in 1847,” she said with all the gusto and matter-of-factness of a tour guide. This actress, comedian and singer was spotted wearing a black lacey tank and a long white skirt. Of course she accessorized with lovey sequenced chain-linked handbag and sparkling earrings.
While Modern Muse Amanda Peet was rocking a classic Chanel lacy slip-dress. Peet’s black heels are very unique with accents of peals and tiny black bows. The glamorous actress keeps her look together by pulling her hair back and wears sparkling chandler-like earrings.
Last but not least is the 22-year-old actress, Dakota Fanning also rocking Chanel in black and white. Unlike Williams, Fanning wore a white embellished flower top with a shiny black skirt. Fanning pulls her ensemble together by adding hints of silver with her accessories from her rings to her bracelets to her glittery strappy heels. According to Instyle, Fanning was very happy to be there and talked about the most memorable jewelry she had ever received. Fanning stated, “My mom, for my 21st birthday, gave me a strand of pearls and it was very important to her that I have those on my 21st birthday,” she told Instyle, “My mom is very Southern and traditional and so she wanted her first daughter to have pearls on her 21st, so those are very special.”
